Happy Thanksgiving!

Jake had a wonderful time participating in the Veteran's Day Parade with his Boy Scout Troop. He had to ride in the truck this year since he had just got out of the hospital from a severe asthma attack!

I loved the costumes this year! Christopher had several costumes throughout the day- this was the last one of the day. Nick found his costume on Craig's List- he had a lot of fun. Jake was Mario from Mario Brothers. Caitlin put on my high school cheerleading uniform- she was truly a "mini me". They all enjoyed trick or treating. They lasted for over 2 hours!
Althought they lost every game Nick had a great time. John was the coach and he learned a lot!

Locks of Love!

Caitlin donated 10 inches of her hair to Locks of Love. She cringed just a bit with the first cut, but after that she was fine. She loves her new hair cut and looks so much older!!!

Nick Turns 7

Nick celebrated his 7th Birthday on Oct. 5th. He is the Lego master. He put this set together in just a few hours. He amazes us with his focus!

Rocky Point October 2008

We were able to get down to Mexico for a great mini vacation. Several families from the neighborhood went down for a few days. We had a great room and really enjoyed our break from the routine. We celbrated Nick's birthday at the Friendly Dolphin.

It has been a busy last couple of weeks. I have gone back to work teaching 6th grade at Patterson Elementary so that has changed things at home. I have a GREAT class- lots of fun and full of energy. Christopher goes to school with me three days a week so that makes it a little easier to work. I get to go down and see him at lunch.
Nick is in a 1-2 Gifted Program this year and is already moving into 3rd grade curriculum. He has really taken off in math and reading. This past week he started football with Pop Warner. John is the coach so this should be interesting. He is still in karate and is starting Boy Scouts. I am tired thinking about it!
Jake is in 4th grade this year. He has Cailin's former teacher so I know he will do well. He is also in Boy Scouts and is serving as John's assistant coach for the football team. He will be starting back into musical theater soon and still takes guitar.
Caitlin is back in the pool this week. She has added gymnastics to her load. She wants to secure a spot on the 13-15 team and hope to someday be a "flyer" for AAS. She is also playing the violin and in the Musical Theater group at school. Add to this her Gifted classes at school and you have a glimpse of Caitlin's day. She has been watching the Olympics this year and still hopes to some day make that Olympic team.

NYC!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here are some fun pictures from our trip to NYC! These are pictures with the cast from "Legally Blond- The Musical". Caitlin had memorized every word to the show before we walked in the door! We also saw "Wicked" which was AMAZING! Caitlin and I both fell in love with New York. We loved everything about it.

US Nationals- 4th in the Country!!!!!

Caitlin had a GREAT meet! We were in Binghamtom, New York for the 10 day competition and she really did well. The team secured a 4th place finish while the trio was 5th and duet was 9th. She met the 2008 Olympic Team who flew in for the finals and hung out with the girls. It was an incredible experience. Caitlin dreams of her Olympic moment- it gets her through those tough practices. We are very proud of all she has accomplished!
The first picture is from our trip to the "Today" show. We had fun hanging out at the NBC studio.
The second is with a member of the Olypmic Team. Caitlin had fun meeting all the girls.
The last is a picture of the team with their coaches after the awards ceremony for finals.

Nick

Nick is back on the Seville swim team. He loves the meets because he gets ribbons.

It is hard to believe he will be in the first grade this year. He is the comedian of the group and keeps us all going!

Christopher

Christopher is keeping us busy this summer. He still is not talking so we are starting a lot more therapy for him. He also started swim lessons this summer. He loves the water, but not the lessons.

Grand Canyon State Games

Caitlin competed this weekend in the Grand Canyon State Games. Her duet placed first and the team was second. She is VERY excited for this next weekend. We leave Wednesday for US Nationals in New York. This is a BIG opportunity for her and something she has worked very hard for this past year.

Another BUSY week!!!!!

Jake spent the week at Childsplay in Tempe this week. He was in the production Seussical the Musical. He had a GREAT time and did a wonderful job. The boys are finishing the last week of Golf Camp at Seville and waiting anxioulsy for Mimi to arrive next weekend.

Happy Father's Day!

Celebrated with all the Arizona Capriotti gang. We saw Carissa who we only see a few times a year now that she is taking the gymnastics world by storm. The kids all had fun in the pool and we sat around and ate- relaxing day.

This week Jake went to Boy Scout camp. He had a great time- learned archery, swam, and shot a BB gun. This week we change gears- he is off to Childsplay to be in a play. Add in golf camp and swim team and he has a BUSY summer!

Swim Team begins

The boys had there first swim meet of the season- went well. They were excited to each win a ribbon. I think freestyle is their stroke. Christopher was just happy to sit and eat oreos.
Caitlin had her typical practice today. It is hard to believe we are leaving for New York here in 12 days. We are both excited and a little nervous- this is the BIG meet of the year- US Nationals. This is when all the hours at the pool and in the car pay off. She is competing in both the duet and team competition and is an alternate to the trio. Tonight we are just hanging out- swimming in the pool and eating icecream!

Getting Started

I have been wanting to do this for awhile. I am hoping this helps to preserve family memories, share news with those far away, and create a place for people to contact us.

We have a BUSY life so I will do my best to stay on top of things and keep it interesting- with four kids that should not be a problem.
